It's been a while since I've posted a Friends Inspire post. And what better way than to introduce you to my lovely and radiant friend, Sam! I've known her since freshman year of college, so we go way back. But there won't be any postings of embarrassing college photos here. =)

Cue Asian Goddess. She gracefully exits the purring car in a charged, blood-red ball gown. The material flows and moves like the weaving of a dream. A slit to her waist. Half naked and strong. Legs for days. Heels to kill. She shines. A super hero and the dress is her cape. Goddamn...I love an entrance.

How would you describe your sense of style?: Chameleon-like. Naked, confident, bohemian, natural, rock and roll, walking sex.

What are your top favorite items in your closet?: Lucky cut off jean shorts (that are entirely too short and old). Green vintage Oliver Peoples sunglasses. Calvin Klein underwear. Sky-high nude Christian Louboutin pumps. Worn out Hurley flannel. Deep purple peek-a-boo crochet dress by Pirate's Booty (think Morticia Addams goes on a cruise). Wool/cashmere camel wrap sweater from Saks. Red satin corseted Dolce & Gabana dress (the SEX dress). Rhinestone 3/4 sleeve Levi's jean jacket. Giant doily skirt from a designer in London. My Mom's tie-dye grateful dead t-shirt. Jade ring from Chinatown Hawaii. Naked ghost Helmut Lang dress. Diesel hooded jacket with built in rabbit fur vest. Fringed brown suede purse, and my Nike Shox. Whew! That's a whole lot!!

And what is on your wishlist?: Biker boots, adventure, a successful career, an ice-blue convertible bitch car, my soul-mate, harmony, and to be true to the Universe. :)

Who is your style icon? Hard question; there are so many of them! Kate Bosworth, Whitney Port, and Danish/Swedish model and singer, Anine Bing, always looks perfect.

How would you describe your sense of style? COMFORTABLE. Girlie, feminine, and soft mixed with rocky. Preppy mixed with grungy. Love vintage! I love classy in a laidback way.

What are your top favorite items in your closet? I actually love most of the stuff in my closet. I try not to shop too often and rather buy something special when I really, really want it. However, working in the buying department of a clothing company makes you a bit shopping-crazy. My favorite items are probably these:

- My short rust-red vintage suede jacket from the Fairfax/Melrose market in Hollywood. I will keep it forever!
- My Acne shoes! They just fit my feet perfectly.
- A vintage Louis Vuitton bag that I bought for $40 USD. The man who sold it to me didn't know what he was selling.
- My two finger bird ring from Portobello Market in Notting Hill/London.
-My white Converse sneakers. I love them and always will. =)
- Levi's jeans shorts with the perfect wash. Not too light blue, not too dark blue.

 And what is on your wishlist? No. 1 on my wishlist is without a doubt, Mulberry's Taylor oversized satchel in black. It's the most beautiful bag I've ever seen. =) Find it here.

Here's a sneak peek of my costume for Halloween this year. I wanted to do the Pan Am stewardess but I wouldn't had the time to put it all together before the festivities. I've been quite busy lately. So, a kitty cat it is!!

By the way, that's the original iPhone 1G that I'm using to take this photo. It still works, surprisingly. ;) But I will be reserving my 4S in a few hours here. Hallelujah!! Finally an upgrade! =)

This past weekend, I went to Santa Cruz with Kali and boy, was it nostalgic! Good times in my old neighborhood.

Who's your style icon? From the past: I love Francoise Hardy's effortless and timeless casual elegance and Bianca Jagger's unapologetic rock n' roll glamour. From today: I love Diane Kruger and Erin Wasson. 

How would you describe your sense of style? I guess I would call my style stiletto hippie or bourgie bohemian ;) I'm a California girl so I like laidback and unfussy looks but I also like a bit of glitz. I live in jeans, tees and short casual dresses but I also love my sky high heels and 'whole paycheck' handbags.

What are your top favorite items in your closet? I don't know if these are my top favorites, but they certainly get the most wear: Vivienne Westwood black metallic cropped jacket, Sergio Rossi cage toe platform heels, American Eagle Outfitters denim cutoff shorts and oversized Navajo print cardigan.

And what is on your wish list? Oy, there are too many to list but my wish list item of the day is a pair of Isabel Marant fringe boots in white. And a permanent fixture on my wish list are vintage Chanel handbags.

To sum things up, I must say, this summer has been pretty great! =)
