Upcoming Events:

WHEN: Saturday, September 10, 2011
TIME: 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM
WHERE: Surfrider Beach, Malibu – First Point
DIRECTIONS: Click here

On September 10, join celebrities from film, music and television at First Point, Surfrider Beach in Malibu for the Surfrider Foundation’s 6th Annual Celebrity Expression Session presented by Cali Bamboo.

The Celebrity Expression Session is a hour-long free surf that gives Surfrider’s celebrity supporters including Jesse Spencer (“House”), Eric Balfour (“Haven”), Sam Trammell (“True Blood”), John Slattery (“Mad Men”) and Martyn Lenoble (Porno for Pyros) the opportunity to demonstrate their surfing skills on Malibu’s famous wave, while raising funds and awareness for the Foundation to continue campaigns for clean water, open beach access, coastal preservation and special place protection.

This is the fourth year that the Malibu Surfing Association’s MSA Classic is hosting the Celebrity Expression Session, which has raised more than $25,000 to protect our world’s oceans, waves and beaches. The MSA Classic is the premier contest in the Coalition of Surfing Clubs’ annual series. This year’s MSA Classic celebrates the club’s 50th anniversary, and is expected to draw 300 athletes from some of the world’s elite surfing clubs.

In addition, San Diego-based Cali Bamboo, the premier manufacturer of green building materials made primarily from bamboo, returns for a second year as the Celebrity Expression Session’s presenting sponsor. Leading up to the event, Cali Bamboo hosted the National Greenscape Challenge to promote eco-friendly landscape and garden designs, inspired by Surfrider Foundation’s Ocean Friendly Gardens program. This year’s grand prize winner, Steven Roeder, will enjoy an all-expense paid weekend to Los Angeles to watch the Celebrity Expression Session, and enjoy a 30-minute surf session with a celebrity from the event.

So grab your towel, sunscreen and camera and head to Malibu on September 10 for a chance to catch your favorite celebrity hanging-ten at First Point.

Loves it!!!

Check out Louis Vuitton's newest accessory to hit this A/W 2011! I love it! Very creative with the popular Peter Pan inspired collar. It'll really add that playfulness to an outfit.
I've just returned from Reno and am so exhausted. It was fun hanging out with the siblings and playing the slots. Reno is definitely very different from Las Vegas, but I still managed to win $10 from a slot machine. (I'm not much of a gambler). =)

This past weekend, Sofia Coppola wed her longtime boyfriend, Thomas Mars. And this coming up weekend, Lauren Bush will be marrying her love, David Lauren (son of Ralph Lauren). The week before that, Dylan Lauren (daughter of Ralph Lauren) married...Oh, so many weddings! It's like a ripple affect!

September is near and my next Friends Inspire will feature one of my stylish friends. Stay tune! I updated the jobs section, so check it out!

Lookbook: H&M Winter 2011

Images via

H&M's Winter 2011 lookbook is nothing of short. It appears that color and '60s inspired silhouettes are on the H&M designers' minds. The block shirts really do it for me. I'll buy it in all colors please!

Elie Saab Fall Haute Couture 2011

Elie Saab Fall Haute Couture 2011

No, I'm not getting married. Not anytime soon! But I love Elie Saab! Year after year, he ceases to amaze me. He definitely knows how a woman loves being reminded that she is gorgeous, beautiful, and is a princess/queen in her own right. Here is Elie Saab's newest collection...soft, whimsical, light, delicate, and beautifully crafted.

Fashion Editor: Miroslava Mikheeva-Duma

Miroslava Mikheeva-Duma is perhaps one of my all time favorite Fashion Editor muse. She is Editor at Harper's Bazaar Russia, and now also a freelance writer for OK! Magazine Russia. Her style is so effortlessly chic and laid back smart. As you may, or may not, know, she's started her own blog, Buro 24/7. It is in Russian, so if you don't have a translator, you're out of the loop. But don't worry, the photos are amusing. =) Visit her blog here.

Tony Bianco

Bambi Northwood-Blyth for Tony Bianco Summer 2011 collection.

As of late, I've been neglecting my high heels collection. My goal is to wear more heels. Promise! They make me look taller and feel sexier. I always stride with confidence when I walk in them. And these Tony Bianco heels can sure do me that pleasure. =)

Loves it!!!

I want these sandals! Love the thick gold heels that gives a bit of height for a shorter individual like myself. You can find them at Topshop. =)

Olivia Wilde + Nylon Magazine

Olivia Wilde for Nylon Magazine August 2011

Olivia Wilde, 27, may be really bad at bowling, but she definitely has the ups in being one of the hottest and yet talented actresses in the industry. From House to Tron: Legacy, to Cowboys vs. Aliens and The Change-Up, I'm sure there will be more to come from Wilde soon. She's on a roll!

I've just watched the movie, The Change-Up, last night and thought it was quite hilarious even though the critics gave it a 19% on Rotten Tomatoes. People were laughing hard in the theater, so I'd say that was some good entertainment. =)

Read more about her in the latest Nylon Magazine August 2011 issue.

Friends Inspire: Sheva

Meet my friend Sheva Schuck, the wonderful and charismatic individual whom I first met a long time ago at a boutique in Laguna Beach.  If my memory serves me correctly. =) She is one creative lady and it shows through and through with her style and her designs. I can't refrain myself from 'ooohing' and 'aahhing' from the outfits she wears. And her hair! She's got the good hair! Check out her website Sheva Schuck Jewelry and visit her blog West Native

Birthdate: July 2nd Sign: Cancer

Occupation: Jewelry Designer

Location: Los Angeles, CA

Who's your style icon?:
My mom circa 1970-1979. She traveled the world in her teens and early twenties and wore some pretty epic outfits. I never tire of looking through her photo albums.

How would you describe your sense of style?:
All over the place! It generally depends on what music or movies I'm into at the time and also what type of jewelry collection I'm working on. One thing that is always consistent is an element of playfulness.

What are your top favorite items in your closet?:
1)the weird and quirky antique jewelry my boyfriend showers me with. He travels for work a lot and always returns home with some new bling.

2) My growing collection of vintage ponchos. I know it's ridiculous and costumey, but I love wearing them with my tall fringy Minnetonka moccasins. I do this year round in spite of the fact I live in LA.

And what is on your wish list?:
(in order of desirability)
1) Every style of Swedish Hasbeens in a variety of colors
2) Mexican embroidered dresses and other Frida Kahlo-inspired pieces
3) The perfect pair of cut-off denim shorts
