Phoebe Philo gives Celine a modern and crisp look this Spring 2012. I'm loving all the shoes and accessories. The suede buckle cuffs/bracelets are to die for! I want one in every color. And of course, the handbags! She never does us wrong when it comes to making timeless pieces.
It's been a while since I've posted an Out and About on my blog. Been so busy lately. But I had to post this one. So much fun! This past weekend was my cousin's birthday, so we decided to head over to the Sierra Foothills and enjoy some wine tasting and small town sight seeing. Beautiful. I got to help make wine in the cellar. And boy, it was some heavy duty stuff. I had to have a little help from the owner. hehe. =)
Just got this gold sequin wallet/clutch from Zara!! It's definitely a statement bag. I'm not usually an accessories overload kind of person. But one piece that stands out is what works for me. And this does that!
Editor-at-Large for Vogue Japan, Anna Dello Russo, always stands out in the crowd with her outfits, especially with her head pieces. I love her!! I really love this dress here. Don't know whom it's made by...but if you know, please inform. =)
Victoria's Secret 2011 Fashion Show displayed tons of feathers, crystals, glitter, sequins, neon, and of course, lingerie!!! This year, I particularly love the "under the sea mermaid" theme they showcased. Light, vivid, and romantic. So beautiful.
This Spring, Christopher Bailey takes Burberry into a colorful stage than usual. Still holds on to the trench and utility jackets, but with a eclectic touch. He adds colored raffia-and-cotton weave graphics and abstract prints, and craftiness to the collection. It's different, but still Burberry. Beautiful! <3
One of the many favorite editors of mine, Taylor Tomasi Hill. She's definitely got a knack for fashion and styles herself (and others) pretty well. She is the style and accessories director for Marie Claire after all. =) Taylor hasn't failed me once. She's been presentable in all the outfits she's been seen wearing. Here, she is wearing Thakoon's batik printed dress with tail. I love how she takes this very vibrant piece and keeps it a little bit casual with the basic shirt. Such a breeze! <3
Here are other styles for Thakoon's Batik print. Click on the images below: Available at Net-A-Porter.com.
Okay!!! You gotta love the inspiration behind Proenza Schouler's Fall 2011 collection. Designer Lazaro Hernandez and his creative team set out on a road trip to explore and be inspired. And check out the outcome, looks magnificent. I love it!

Meet my lovely friend, Sofia Engberg! I don't know how she does it, but she always, seamlessly, pulls a great outfit together. Every time!! Check out where she works at Bik Bok. =)

Who is your style icon? Hard question; there are so many of them! Kate Bosworth, Whitney Port, and Danish/Swedish model and singer, Anine Bing, always looks perfect.
How would you describe your sense of style? COMFORTABLE. Girlie, feminine, and soft mixed with rocky. Preppy mixed with grungy. Love vintage! I love classy in a laidback way.
What are your top favorite items in your closet? I actually love most of the stuff in my closet. I try not to shop too often and rather buy something special when I really, really want it. However, working in the buying department of a clothing company makes you a bit shopping-crazy. My favorite items are probably these:
- My short rust-red vintage suede jacket from the Fairfax/Melrose market in Hollywood. I will keep it forever!
- My Acne shoes! They just fit my feet perfectly.
- A vintage Louis Vuitton bag that I bought for $40 USD. The man who sold it to me didn't know what he was selling.
- My two finger bird ring from Portobello Market in Notting Hill/London.
-My white Converse sneakers. I love them and always will. =)
- Levi's jeans shorts with the perfect wash. Not too light blue, not too dark blue.
And what is on your wishlist? No. 1 on my wishlist is without a doubt, Mulberry's Taylor oversized satchel in black. It's the most beautiful bag I've ever seen. =) Find it here.
