Trend: Maxi Skirts

This summer, bright and colorful maxi skirts were on trend! Fall is approaching, but it doesn't mean you can't wear colorful maxi skirts. I had bought a yellow maxi skirt like the one above from Anthropologie a couple weeks ago, but ended up returning it because it didn't fit. Anyone know where I can find one like it? Come Fall, pair the maxi skirts with a knitted sweater and ankle boots.

Beauty:

Have you heard about the latest trend in the Beauty department? Korean beauty products are a hit in the US right now. It's affordable, which we like. And it works well, which we love! After reading about it on Elle beauty, or what not, I decided to give it a try. I went on over to Soko Glam, which sells curated Korean beauty brands. A couple months ago, I had an allergic reaction to a facial product and my chin area turned all red and started breaking out. It was quite embarrassing, since my skin has never reacted to anything like that before. I was devastated! And the redness was not going away even after staying away from makeup and other skin products. All I used was Aveeno Ultra Calming facial lotion and Cetaphil Gentle cleanser. When I saw Etude House facial masks and eye patches, I thought I should give it a try. I needed the moisture in my face and needed something that was good for my sensitive skin.

The Etude House facial masks were amazing! It felt great on my face and when I was done with it, I rubbed the rest of the moisture into my face. No need for facial lotion! It was calming and refreshing. Even though it's recommended to use 2-3 times a week, I would totally use it everyday. The redness on my chin went away and the breakouts also diminished within a day or two. I was really happy with the results. The eye patches were also wonderful! I get puffiness under my eyes for the lack of sleep I've had for the past 20 years. It decreased the puffiness after 2 days of use. I definitely need to order more of these. If you're looking for affordable sheet masks, find them here. You won't regret it, I promise!

Met Gala 2014

Arizona Muse in Zac Posen

This year, the Met Gala honored Charles James and his gorgeous fairytale-like gowns. He was a British-born fashion designer known as "America's First Couturier." There were a lot of celebrities that opted not to wear gowns, but these models did and they looked gorgeous! Zac Posen is always great in the gown department, but I'm very impressed with Topshop's custom made gowns that models like Chanel Iman, Kendall Jenner and Toni Garrn wore. Pretty amazing coming from a fast fashion house, right? Who were your favorites at the Met Gala? Here are my favorites! :)
