Proenza Schouler A/W 2013 RTW
This season, Lazaro Hernandez and Jack McCollough went for monochromatic silhouettes - blacks and whites, grays and icy blues. The collection is very sophisticated and mature. The designer pair wanted a collection of "transparency, and a softness of form, color, and texture - snowy somehow." It reminded me of the 1950s/60s - shift dresses, tweed fabrics, as well as ostrich and printed pony. But the cuts and textures of these pieces took them from vintage to avant-garde. Beautifully done!
